For drop free mags in the Cx4 Storm
I picked up these magazine floor plates for some mags for my Beretta Cx4 Storm. They came from the previous owner with oversized rubber ones, which made it easy to grab them when seated fully. However they would not drop free when empty, since the rubber was slightly catching. With these smaller steel and plastic floor plates, they now reliably drop free, which makes reloading much easier and faster. One note though, now the mags sit a few millimeters below the surface of the mag well. This is not a problem when quickly inserting a fully loaded mag, as inertia seats it far enough to engage the mag retention. However when slowly pushing in a mag (especially an empty one) with a flat palm, it sometimes does not fully seat and has to be manually pushed in a few millimeters further. As for reliability, since they are solid steel with plastic overmolding, they seem very durable. However I have not yet dropped them on concrete or any other hard surface, which may over time crack the plastic.
